Training & Resources

Home / Training & Resources

We offer training, supervision, coaching and resources underpinned by Narrative Therapy. Narrative Cards, Team of Life and Rare / D are some examples of our projects.

Narrative Cards

Team of Life

Rare / D

A set of 48 cards divided into 6 areas of exploration featuring questions through which to co-create new possibilities. The cards are there to support practitioners. Facilitating opportunities to move from what is known and familiar to what is possible to know thanks to the conversations.

Originally developed in work with former child soldiers from Uganda and used with refugee groups, we have developed Team of Life into a structured resilience programme. We offer training and resources to practitioners, enabling them to deliver our programme in their context.

Collaboration with public engagement around Rare genetic conditions has involved the release of a series of Rare/D Podcasts, starting conversations about what it means to be rare. Hosted by Mariangels Ferrer with the BBC’s Nichola Garde.

Our work with practitioners, organisations and communities aims to promote well-being and resilience and is based on systemic and narrative approaches. We place a strong emphasis upon social values and cultural awareness. We do this by working collaboratively and in partnership with people, building stories which emphasise their personal agency and the resources available within their relationships, families, school or workplace and local communities.

Narrative Therapy is an approach to community practice that pays attention to people’s social and cultural experience as well as their emotions and behaviours. Ideas from narrative therapy offer particularly innovative ways for bringing people together, promoting well-being and resilience and reducing stigma.

Integral to our way of working is involving participants at all stages in co-creating the process. This ensures that the work is meaningful to them and applicable to their day-to-day lives.  This is achieved through close attention to the language used by participants, taking care to ‘capture’ and ‘rescue’ their words and stories.

As well as training and supervision, our work with organisations also includes work with groups within workplaces, schools and community settings for adults, children and young people.

If you are interested in finding out how we can accompany you in your work within your organisation or service, please contact us. Our approach is to meet with you in the first instance to understand your requirements and then work with you to develop a bespoke package that meets your needs.
